What does your workday look like?

As Project Manager Groups, Sports & Events you will have a versatile position in which no day is the same. You are the connecting factor between clients, suppliers and your team and make sure that everything is perfectly organized from A to Z. From brainstorming sessions and producing events to guiding a group trip: you will be involved in everything. Daarnaast neem je de regie over complexe projecten, stuur je op kwaliteit, budgetten en klanttevredenheid en speel je een sleutelrol in het coachen van collega’s.

Some of your duties include:

Create creative proposals: Je verdiept je in de wensen van de opdrachtgever en werkt unieke en verrassende programma’s en concepten uit, afgestemd op hun doelen en budget. Je adviseert de klant op strategisch niveau en challenge’t hun briefing waar nodig.
Discovering locations: You will visit inspiring venues (both national and international) to assess their suitability for the group tour or event.
Negotiate: You know how to close the best deals with hotels, venues and transportation companies.
Planning and coordinating: You create a detailed script, coordinate details with suppliers and make sure all the puzzle pieces fit together perfectly.
Counseling customers: During a trip or event, you will be the point of contact and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Troubleshooting: Does something unexpected come your way? Don't panic, you shift gears quickly and get it resolved.
Collaboration: You will work closely with your colleagues and regularly brainstorm new ideas and improvements.
Aftercare: Afterwards, you evaluate with the client and make sure they look back on a successful collaboration with a smile. Je bouwt actief aan langdurige klantrelaties en identificeert kansen voor vervolgprojecten en cross-sell.

What we are looking for in our new enthusiastic colleague:

Multitasker: Je bent met verschillende events en/of reizen tegelijk bezig en werkt hiervoor nauw samen met je team. Het behouden van overzicht en het snel kunnen schakelen en aanpassen wanneer nodig is hierin belangrijk.
Social: Het geeft je energie om nieuwe contacten te leggen en met verschillende type mensen om te gaan. Je weet hierbij hoe je zowel informeel als formeel een gesprek voert.
Creative: Standaard oplossingen zijn niets voor jou. Je denkt conceptueel, ziet kansen die anderen missen en vertaalt doelstellingen naar krachtige event- en reisconcepten.
Proactive: Je weet van aanpakken, bent leergierig en gaat nieuwe mogelijkheden en kansen niet uit de weg. Je bent niet bang om iets verkeerd te doen en fouten te maken: dit is tenslotte groei!
Ambitious: Yes! Je hebt meer bereikt dan eigenlijk van je verwacht wordt… dit geeft je een goed gevoel en voldoening. Toch?!
Flexible: Reizen en events houden zich niet aan standaard kantooruren. Je neemt verantwoordelijkheid tijdens kritieke momenten en weet tegelijkertijd balans te bewaken binnen het team.

your background:

Minimum 2 jaar ervaring als Projectmanager binnen events of groeps- en sportreizen;
Kennis van Amadeus of Galileo is een pré, maar zeker geen must.
Werkervaring met Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint en Canva.
HBO working and thinking level.
Good command of the Dutch and English language
